Mark Bushell is back again for his famous local basket weaving workshops!

Discover the ancient craft of basket weaving with Mark and take part in a session - taster sessions and more advanced session available.

Call in to see Mark weaving his stunning works of art and learn more about one of the oldest and widest spread crafts in the history of civilization.

Mark is from a family of basket weavers so will have plenty of stories to tell about the tradition and his family’s heritage. Mark will guide you through so you can make your very own pieces of art.

Workshop participants will learn the rudiments mans oldest craft skill and will be able to complete a round willow basket using high quality Somerset willow. To complete your basket will take a minimum of 2 sessions.

Cost of workshops is £15 for each session, all tools and material provided. Suitable for age 10 upwards (under 18's must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop).

Workshops will run Monday - Saturday twice daily from 10.30am - 1.30pm and 2.30pm -5.30pm.
